AM ÎNVINS!
Artistele s-au deplasat pe trasee urbane prestabilite și au creat un performance mobil care s-a desfășurat de-a lungul a două zile în Cluj, respectiv în Timișoara. Din perspectiva istoriei post-socialiste a României, sloganul de la Revoluție AM ÎNVINS! poate fi interpretat ca două mesaje diferite, AM și ÎNVINS, iar asocierea lor cu obiecte urbane concrete configurează o hartă a afectului post-revoluționar ce marchează simbolic perdanții și câștigătorii Revoluției.
La punctele noastre de întâlnire pe durata proiectului, artistele au prezentat Câţi ani aveai la Revoluție? – un reading performance conceput sub forma unui colaj care aduce împreună fragmente de amintiri personale din perioada socialistă, întrebări şi reflecţii despre ideea de revoluţie, potenţial şi pierdere, cât şi fragmente scrise pe parcursul ultimilor ani în legătură cu practica lor artistică. Prin acest colaj, ele vorbesc despre speranţă şi deznădejde, energie şi depresie, despre putere sau despre cum e să fim lipsiţi de ea.

The artists walked along predetermined urban routes and produced a mobile performance that unfolded over two days in Cluj and Timișoara, respectively. Seen from the perspective of Romania’s post-socialist history, the slogan from the Revolution, AM ÎNVINS! (WE HAVE WON!) can be interpreted as two different messages: AM (I HAVE/I OWN) and ÎNVINS (DEFEATED). Through the association of these messages with concrete urban objects like banks, shopping malls, shuttered factories, luxury housing and empty public schools, the artists configured a map of the post-revolutionary affect which symbolically highlights those who won and those who were defeated after the Revolution.
At our meeting points in both cities the artists presented the reading performance How old were you at the Revolution? – a collage that brings together fragments of memories from socialist times, questions and reflections about the idea of revolution, potential and loss, as well as writings that have emerged out of their artistic practice in recent years. Through this collage they talked about hope and hopelessness, energy and depression, power and disempowerment.
